The $3.6 billion Corporate America Credit Union announced Aug. 30 that it has hired Ben F. Hayley as general counsel. He will report to CEO Thomas Bonds.

“We are thrilled to add Mr. Hayley to our management team,” Bonds said. “We see a great future for Corporate America with the addition of our first in-house General Counsel. We have great plans for the organization and needed Mr. Hayley's expertise to accomplish our goals.”

Hayley has represented financial institutions for 25 years in private practice, in the areas of compliance, regulatory matters, government affairs, mergers, acquisitions, and intellectual property. He received his LLM (taxation), J.D. and MBA from The University of Alabama, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama Birmingham. He is licensed to practice law in Alabama and Florida, has led industry educational seminars and has served on the American Bar Association's Credit Union Committee.
