CFE Federal Credit Union said it has expanded its mobile banking service to include an application for users of iPhone, iPad and iTouch devices.
The $1.2 billion Lake Mary, Fla.-based institution said more than 1,500 of its 117,000 members downloaded the free app from the iTunes Store within the first five days it was offered.
The application allows members to check rates and balances, transfer funds and find its 19 branches and 40 ATMs on their Apple devices.

CFE said its overall mobile use has grown steadily since it was introduced in 2008, including 64% so far in 2010.
The credit union serves Orange, Osceola, Lake and Seminole counties and said it was one of the first in central Florida to offer mobile banking.
