Iowa credit unions in flood-ravaged areas along the MaquoketaRiver stepped up their relief efforts Thursday to provide financialaid to their members and help out community groups working in floodrelief.

Executives of the $465 million DuTrac Community CU of Dubuque,one of the area's largest, said they were astonished at memberoutpouring to a special charity fund which in one day raised$10,000 for flood aid.

"DuTrac wanted to be first out of the door to help provide acash donation and challenge other area residents and businesses todonate to those in need," explained Jason Norton, senior vicepresident-marketing/business development.
