Matt Pritchard, the attorney representing Clearview FCU in Moon Township, Pa., told Credit Union Times that Tampa, Fla.-based Clearview Credit filed a name amendment with the Florida Department of State. An inquiry on the site confirmed that Clearview Credit has gone back to its previous name of Debt Reduction America Inc. A name amendment was filed July 8.

The CU first learned of the debt settlement company after members came into the branches with some of its mailers with the Clearview Credit name. Members had asked if the CU endorsed the firm or if it had expanded into debt settlement services.
