During what he hopes will be the beginning of the final debate on the financial overhaul bill, Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd thanked NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz for her help during the drafting and negotiations.

"I'm grateful to the National Credit Union Administration, their chairman Ms. Matz, who also was very helpful in putting this bill together," Dodd (D-Conn.) said on the Senate floor last night.

He also singled out Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and FDIC Chairman Sheila Bair for their assistance.
