The Editor's Column in the April 28 issue was excellent. The comments were on target.

The credit union industry is well served by allowing more outside influence like the management advice passed along by Zappos and Yahoo. We have a tendency to stay in our own circles and adhere to the same philosophy. This can lead to a stagnation of ideas and creativity, like recirculating the same air. Unless we open the vent and let a little fresh air in, the air becomes stagnant and unhealthy. Fostering innovation and the forward thinking found in other industries takes efforts like the THINK conference.

The long-term health and viability of the credit union industry will require creative and innovative solutions.
