WESCO Net said it is about to open a third data center as it expands its capacity for Web and managed hosting, business continuity and network integration services.

The new center will open in May in Muskegon, Mich., joining existing centers in Grand Rapids and Kentwood, the company said. Green technology played a major role in the new center's design, as did modular technology to allow easy expansion to meet demand.

WESCO Net was launched in 2002 by Grand Rapids-based CU*Answers. It said it now serves more than 100 credit unions as well as clients in education, retail, legal, medical, retail, hospitality and government.
