The SBA said today $2 million in grants are available to governors of states and territories to support programs for innovative and technology-driven businesses.
Under the agency's Federal and State Technology partnership program, the grant funds are used for outreach and technical assistance to science and technology-driven small businesses with an emphasis on helping socially and economically disadvantaged firms compete in the SBA's Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs.
Applicants are eligible for up to $100,000 in FAST grants. Eligible applicants include state and local economic development agencies, small business development centers, and colleges and universities. Each state, through its governor, may submit one proposal. The deadline is May 10.
