CO-OP Financial Services, the CUSO parent of the CO-OP Network and CO-OP Shared Branching has announced a $10,000 prize for "the most innovative and shareable idea that will have the greatest impact on credit unions."
"Credit unions are unique in their ability to collaborate and share ideas," said Stan Hollen, president/CEO of CO-OP Financial Services. "We developed the CO-OP Think Prize to leverage that collaborative ability and aggregate the impressive talent, resources and intellect within the credit union movement."
CO-OP unveiled the prize at its Think 2010 Conference.

The Filene Research Institute will screen the entries and determine three finalists. The three finalists will present their ideas at next year's Think 2011 conference and meeting participants will choose the ultimate winner after their presentations.
The prize will seek to reward ideas that have impact, in that they are big enough to propel the credit union movement forward. They must be creative as well as cooperative and collaborative enough to be shared, CO-OP said.
