An Illinois credit union has gone first with a new alerts system that lets it notify members either by e-mail or text of individual account or system-wise events.

The Aviso EAS also can be used by the members of $156 million Numark CU in Joliet to define the alerts they want to receive or provide multiple delivery destinations, according to its creator, Symitar integration specialists CUTEK in Murrieta, Calif.

E-mail or text alerts can be used to let members now about such events as an exceeded credit limit, cleared check, large transaction or received loan payment.
