In Fremont, Ohio, high school seniors got a dose of the real world during the "Finance 101:Walk the Walk, Talk the Talk" event sponsored by Fremont Federal Credit Union and Northwest Ohio Credit Unions.

About 150 high school students from Ross High School in Fremont walked through an interactive life-sized game that illustrated some of the financial demands that exist in the real world. From earning a wage and paying bills and what it costs to run a household to how buying decisions impact earnings, students got a reality check on what it means to be an adult and what their responsibilities will be once they are own.

This was the first time that Finance 101 was held in Fremont. Next year, Northwest Ohio Credit Unions will hold the event at both Terra Community College and Bowling Green State University.
