Andrews Federal Credit Union. Suitland, Md., celebrated the grand opening of its newly redesigned branch in Wiesbaden, Germany. The new branch boasts an expanded member service area, computer caf? and a “Kids' Corner” with a flat-screen LCD television, books, toys and chalkboard. Members and the community were invited to the celebration and were treated to food and prizes.
Hudson River Community Credit Union, Hudson Falls, N.Y., celebrated the grand opening of its Hudson Falls branch with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and reception. The credit union also held prize giveaways and announced that it would give its adult members the chance to win up to $1,000 in its money machine.
Credit Union of Colorado, Denver, announced the opening of its new Parker location. The full-service branch features 2,973-square-feet of office space, including four teller windows, safety deposit boxes, four drive-thru lanes and a drive-up ATM. Hudson River Teachers Federal Credit Union, Mohegan Lake, N.Y., celebrated the grand opening of its new corporate headquarters located in Mohegan Lake, N.Y. More than 100 people attended to celebrate the opening of the new 4,000-square-foot. state of the art facility that includes teller services, private loan offices and ample parking. The festivities included a ribbon-cutting ceremony and building dedication, which was named for the current Chairman/President Roland H. Faucher Sr., who has been active with the credit union for over 50 years.
First Tech Credit Union, Portland, Ore., opened its first Intel branch on the Ronler Acres campus in Hillsboro, Ore. The full-service branch features a paperless touch-screen kiosk that gives members fast, convenient access to First Tech information.
Credit Union ONE, Ferndale, Mich., announce the grand opening of its 19th branch located in West Bloomfield Township. The grand opening celebration included a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by U.S. Congressman Gary Peters, Oakland County Supervisor Shelly Goodman Taub, and West Bloomfield Township Supervisor Michelle Economou Ureste. Credit Union ONE Director Jan Gillespie, President/CEO Gary Moody, other credit union executives, as well as local business and community representatives, also attended.
Apple Federal Credit Union, Fairfax, Va., announced the relocation of its Centreville branch to 14260-J Centreville Square. The credit union's full-range of financial products and services will be available at this new location, as will the expanded benefits of drive-thru banking, 24-hour walk-up ATM service, safety deposit boxes, a coin counter and more.
United Heritage Credit Union, Austin, Texas, celebrated its new Kyle, Texas, branch location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The ceremony included a commemorative color guard presentation by the Lehman High School Navy Junior ROTC to honor the credit union's historical beginning as Military Federal Credit Union in 1957. Over 150 guests attended the festivities.
Boulder Valley Credit Union, Boulder, Colo., opened the first student credit union branch in the Boulder Valley School District at Boulder High School. Named after the school's mascot, the Panther Student Credit Union provides an opportunity for students to learn about financial services and credit responsibility through hands-on experience in the safe environment of a student credit union. The Panther Student Credit Union is open during lunch four days a week and students are encouraged to stop by during lunch to receive their membership packet that they can take home and review with their parents.
TDECU, Victoria, Texas, showcased its new mortgage services office during an open house celebration hosted for the entire Victoria community. As guests enjoyed the open house festivities and visited with credit union staff, four lucky winners entered to win $50 gift cards. In addition to the open house, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was also held and was attended by city, business, community and credit union representatives. The new branch boasts a full-range of mortgage, insurance and indirect-lending services.

Local radio station Mix 107.3 partnered with the credit union for the celebration. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and branch dedication kicked off the festivities. It was followed by a family-fun event that included food, giveaways and face painting. The Falls Church branch offers a full range of financial products and services, including a walk-up ATM, Internet caf?, children's area and more.
