Because of a planned political protest, the Credit Union League of Connecticut has decided that holding an event at the State Capitol on Thursday isn't their cup of tea.
The Tea Party is scheduled to hold a rally at the same time as the league's Government Affairs Conference and Reality Fair Reception but the league announced it would postpone its event.
The league was concerned that the Tea Party event would result in fewer available parking spaces and might result in decreased attendance by lawmakers. According to reports in several media outlets, several thousand protesters are expected to attend the Tea Party rally, which is timed to coincide with the deadline for federal income taxes being due.
