The social networking craze, complete with tweets and blogs, is on a roll this month with more state leagues ramping up tech device programming for conferences with everything from interactive floor debates to "man on the street" interviews.

The social media phenomenon has even gone as far as out-of-state CU executives, with no part in the conference, tweeting their questions to a keynote speaker at last month's annual meeting of the Credit Union Association of Colorado/Wyoming in Colorado Springs.

"We think our members loved the excitement and energy we brought to Colorado Springs since we also worked hard at attracting a more youthful audience to this conference," said Nicole Brusewitz, education director for CUAC noting the trade group strove to "really use this exploding technology to make it convenient for those on-site as well as those couldn't be there in person."
