The $2.5 billion Wings Financial Credit Union has been selectedas the official credit union for the Regional Airline Association,a trade group representing 32 airlines and 280 associatemembers.

As part of the agreement, the Apple Valley, Minn.-based WingsFinancial will enhance its promotion of its products and servicesto RAA member employees immediately, the CU said.

The RAA represents North American regional airlines, and themanufacturers of products and services supporting the regionalairline industry before Congress, the Department of Transportation,Federal Aviation Administration and other federal agencies.According to the trade group, regional airlines operate more than50% of the nation's commercial schedule with more than 13,000flights each day.

The RAA is the latest regional airline partnership for WingsFinancial, which counts Mesaba Aviation, Pinnacle Airlines, CompassAirlines, Republic Airways and Colgan Airlines among its field ofmembership. The CU also has alliances with major airlines such asJetBlue Airways and AirTran Airways and has expanded its memberbase since obtaining a trade industry and profession charter in2004 and converting to a state charter in 2009 to include 11counties in Minnesota and two in Wisconsin.
