Belvoir Federal Credit Union, Woodbridge, Va., congratulated Kyla Dartez on her recent appointment to president of the Bank Secrecy Act Roundtable. Dartez has been a credit union employee for more than 21 years and since 2002 has been the credit union's compliance officer. She is certified with NAFCU and CUNA as a compliance officer/expert and with CUNA as a Bank Secrecy Act compliance specialist.

FAA Credit Union, Oklahoma City, announced that President/CEO Steve Rasmussen has been named a finalist for "Oklahoma's Most Admired CEOs." The award, presented by the state's business?news source, The Journal Record, recognizes those CEOs who are the most remarkable business and nonprofit leaders in the state. Rasmussen has served as president/CEO of the credit union since 1992.

MIDWEST

Iowa Credit Union League, Des Moines, Iowa, announced that its President/CEO Patrick S. Jury was elected to the District 4, Class D position on the CUNA board of directors. He is filling an unexpired term and will serve through the 2012 annual general meeting. Jury has served as the leader of?the league since 2006 and has worked at the organization for more than 20 years. He also represents Iowa credit unions on the executive committee and board of directors of SHAZAM Inc., the state's?EFT organization for financial institutions.

SPIRE Federal Credit Union, Princeton, Minn., announced that Sue Johnson, Princeton branch manager and 31-year credit union employee, was selected as the Princeton Area Chamber of Commerce's volunteer of the year. She serves on the Elim Home facilities advisory board and the Mille Lacs County Historical Society board. Johnson is one third of the "Job Transition Group" in Princeton, where she assists the unemployed to gain access to social services and resources to help with job skills. In addition, she volunteers for the cancer fundraiser, Relay for Life, and has worked the fall festival for her local church for the last 25 years.

Lacamas Community Credit Union, Camas, Wash., announced the promotion of Hillery Losli to the position of member relationship manager and the hiring of Patrick Ryan as member relationship manager. Losli, will oversee the credit union's Terrace branch in Camas. She has nine years of experience in financial institution member service and management. She joined the credit union in 2009. Ryan will oversee the credit union's Sifton branch. He has more than 15 years of diverse experience in management and finance, specializing in member/client service and relationship management.

The Golden 1 Credit Union, Sacramento, Calif., announced that Ken Freedman has been named branch manager of their Gilroy office. Freedman has been in the financial services industry for over 22 years. He has served as assistant vice president, branch manager and sales manager for numerous financial institutions in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Patrion Insurance Services, Riverside, Calif., announced the naming of Dennis Silva as senior sales executive. Prior to joining the company, Silva spent six years as a broker with an Orange County insurance brokerage. He began his career in the insurance industry as a marketing representative, helping agencies meet their carrier commitment, before joining the retail side.
