After 55 years, Credit Union of Johnson County has a new name: Mainstreet Credit Union.

With its reach expanding beyond Johnson County, the new name is designed to better reflect the Lenexa, Kan.-based credit union's growing community.

"Our new name symbolizes the values our credit union stands for, such as trust, respect, honesty-key values of the Heartland," said Mainstreet CU President/CEO John Beverlin. "And it reinforces to the community that we're not 'Wall Street,' we're Main Street."
