First Community Credit Union, Manchester, Mo., held a grand opening celebration for its newest branch. The branch is located inside the new Super Wal-Mart in Manchester and is the credit union's ninth in-store Wal-Mart location. The celebration included prizes, face painting for kids and balloon animals. Portraits were also drawn by a caricature artist, and all kids received a free computerized photo ID from McGruff the Crime Dog. Credit Union mascot Louie the Loan Star and St. Louis Cardinals mascot Fred Bird also made appearances at the event.
Tobyhanna Federal Credit Union, Scranton, Pa., celebrated the opening of their newest Wilkes-Barre branch location by holding a meet and greet. The event was open to local businesses and the community. Attendees were able to meet the new Branch Manager Jen Duggan and Business Services Officer Kay Daniel. Festivities included an on-site radio broadcast, free food, shredding by All Shred, a prize wheel and raffle drawings.
The Golden 1 Credit Union, Sacramento, Calif., celebrated the opening of its Prairie City office. The celebration included a prize wheel, refreshments, face painting and a free financial fair. Radio Disney held a remote broadcast from the event. In addition, the Prairie City office made a $500 donation to Sandra J. Gallardo Elementary School to be used for a school beautification project.

Clearview Federal Credit Union, Moon Township, Pa., announced that it has broken ground for its new 2,300-square-foot branch to be located in Canonsburg. It will be the credit union's 13th branch overall and the 12th in the southwestern Pennsylvania area. The Canonsburg branch is the latest step in the credit union's growth plans. Hudson River Community Credit Union, Hudson Falls, N.Y., announced plans to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Hudson Falls branch. Other special events scheduled as part of the grand opening festivities at the new branch include chances to win prizes for kids. For adult members, there will be a chance to enter the credit union Money Machine and win up to $1,000 cash.
Georgetown Kraft Credit Union, Georgetown, S.C., celebrated the grand opening of its new branch in Andrews, S.C., with food and prizes. The new branch is complete with three offices, two drive-thru lanes, an ATM, expanded teller area and lobby, sitting area and children's waiting area to assist members in an efficient and professional way.
Our Community Credit Union, Shelton, Wash., announced plans to expand its member service by opening its sixth branch in the Union Square Complex in Union, Wash. The new branch is scheduled to open in early spring 2010. The branch will offer Union residents a full range of financial services, including mortgage and investment products.
Nassau Financial Federal Credit Union, Westbury, N.Y., announced the completion of their Garden City branch renovation. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to mark the completion. The branch remained open during renovations.
