Because of the record-setting snowfall, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) announced today that there will be no votes in that chamber for the remainder of the week.

Hoyer said he made the decision because some members have had problems getting flights back to Washington to make votes.

He said the chamber will make up for the weather-related closings by adding two days of votes during the week of Feb. 22, when lawmakers return from their President's Day recess. The House is now scheduled to hold votes every day during that week.
