The record-breaking winter snowstorm across the Mid-Atlantic and parts of the Midwest continued Tuesday to create havoc with credit union operations.

Many government CUs in the District of Columbia closed down all together for a second straight day and those in Maryland, Delaware and elsewhere stayed open on reduced schedules.

Staffers from CUNA, NAFCU and state leagues across the region employed cell phones, e-mail or other devices to keep in communication with members and the public as normal business operations in some areas came to a standstill.
