After Branch Lockdown/Shooting, Robbery Suspect Arrested in Hospital

In the wake of a failed robbery attempt at a branch of TwinStar Credit Union, police reported they have arrested the suspect in an Olympia hospital after he sought treatment for two gunshot wounds.

In the wake of a lockdown and failed robbery attempt at a branch of the $741 million TwinStar Credit Union, police in Centralia, Wash. reported Wednesday they have arrested the suspect in an Olympia hospital after he sought treatment for two gunshot wounds.

The suspect, identified as 57-year-old Michael Anthony Lars, was arrested after showing up at Providence St. Peter’s Hospital with gunshot wounds to the elbow and hip after media accounts say he broke into the CU early Wednesday and held a knife and gun to an employee who was opening up the facility.
