A credit union core processing startup founded by Symitar veterans has hired another former colleague to help lead the platform's development.

Carl Barlow joins Corelation Inc. after 20 years at Symitar, most recently as director of software architecture, the same title he'll hold at Corelation, the new company said.

His role will be to support projects and enhancements to the new KeyStone system, the company said. Barlow joins two other former Symitar colleagues at the new company, CEO John Landis and President Theresa Benavidez.

San Diego-based Corelation announced its launch this past fall and has said it expects to announce its first client signing soon. Landis is the designer of the original Galaxy platform and a Symitar co-founder. Benavidez also is an original Symitar employee who later held senior positions with XP Systems and USERS Inc.
