On Monday look for 12-year old Fabian Fernandez-Han to ring theClosing Bell on the New York Stock Exchange.

The honor is in recognition of Fernandez-Han winning the NYSEFinancial Future Challenge by creating Oink-a-Saurus, a fun newiPhone/iTouch app that teaches kids about the stock market andinvesting. Designed to show kids how investment opportunities existall around them, the app tracks Web browsing and buying habitswhile providing an alternate option of what would happen if themoney spent was saved or invested. Instead of just buyingsomething, users can go from learning about the company that makesit, to buying/selling that company's shares in a stock marketsimulator. The app also includes a news service that providesteen-friendly stock market and investing information.

Launched this past September by the NYSE Foundation, By Kids forKids Co. and K12, Inc., the competition challenged young people tosubmit ideas on how to engage, excite, motivate and educate theirpeers about financial markets and investing.
