In another effort to expand its reach within the small business market, Coventry Credit Union has partnered with several groups to offer free consulting and coaching services on Fridays.

Rhode Island small business owners will have the opportunity to meet with Adam Quinlan, vice president of commercial services at Coventry, for one hour of free business banking related consulting and coaching tailored to their needs. The first session kicks off Jan. 15 and on every other Friday thereafter, according to the $271 million CU.

To make the sessions happen, Coventry partnered with the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation's Every Company Counts, a small business advocacy group, and Rhode Island's Small Business Connection.

In September, Coventry started offering free sessions to small business on such topics as navigating through finances, qualifying for SBA or other loans and general business and financial advice with Quinlan, who prior to coming to the CU in 2009 operated a local firm that specialized in financing deals across Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
