Now official with the start of the new year, the newly-formed League of Southeastern Credit Unions is giving "struggling and small" CUs in Alabama and Florida a price break on trade group services.

Member CUs under $35 million in assets can receive a $400 voucher usable during the year for the product or service of their choice, said league officials.

"We feel this kind of gesture can help our smallest credit unions decide to send that representative to attend one of our conferences or Webinars or buy a supervisory audit which they might ordinarily afford," explained Patrick La Pine, president/CEO.

The $400 voucher offer comes as the newly-minted LSCU, made up of the old Alabama and Florida leagues, debuts a new "user-friendly, interactive" Web site, www.lscu.coop, complete with a compendium of regulatory, legislative and compliance topics.

Also in a "streaming newsfeed" are national news clips with a focus on Florida/Alabama business events, said the league which represents 332 CUs in the two states.
