Distinguished lawmakers, regulators as well as a rock band willbe appearing at CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference nextmonth.
|The regulators scheduled to speak include NCUA Chairman DebbieMatz and Financial Accounting Standards Board Chairman RobertHerz.
|From Capitol Hill, speakers include: House Financial ServicesCommittee Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.), Rep. Spencer Bachus(R-Ala.), the panel's top Republican, and House Majority Whip JamesClyburn (D-S.C.).
|The conference will also feature speeches by former FederalReserve Chairman Alan Greenspan and Richard Phillips, captain ofthe Maersk Alabama, which was hijacked by Somali pirates in2009.
|The conference, which runs from Feb. 21-25 at the WashingtonConvention Center, will begin with a CUNA Council-sponsored concertby the World Classic Rockers, featuring member of Santana, Journey,Boston, Steppenwolf, Toto and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
