Distinguished lawmakers, regulators as well as a rock band willbe appearing at CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference nextmonth.

The regulators scheduled to speak include NCUA Chairman DebbieMatz and Financial Accounting Standards Board Chairman RobertHerz.

From Capitol Hill, speakers include: House Financial ServicesCommittee Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.), Rep. Spencer Bachus(R-Ala.), the panel's top Republican, and House Majority Whip JamesClyburn (D-S.C.).

The conference will also feature speeches by former FederalReserve Chairman Alan Greenspan and Richard Phillips, captain ofthe Maersk Alabama, which was hijacked by Somali pirates in2009.

The conference, which runs from Feb. 21-25 at the WashingtonConvention Center, will begin with a CUNA Council-sponsored concertby the World Classic Rockers, featuring member of Santana, Journey,Boston, Steppenwolf, Toto and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
