Distinguished lawmakers, regulators as well as a rock band will be appearing at CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference next month.

The regulators scheduled to speak include NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz and Financial Accounting Standards Board Chairman Robert Herz.

From Capitol Hill, speakers include: House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.), Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-Ala.), the panel's top Republican, and House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.).

The conference will also feature speeches by former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan and Richard Phillips, captain of the Maersk Alabama, which was hijacked by Somali pirates in 2009.

The conference, which runs from Feb. 21-25 at the Washington Convention Center, will begin with a CUNA Council-sponsored concert by the World Classic Rockers, featuring member of Santana, Journey, Boston, Steppenwolf, Toto and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
