COCC has elected Tina Sbrega, president of GFA Federal Credit Union in Gardner, Mass., to a three-year term on the board of directors of the co-operatively owned provider of core processing and other technology services to community banks and credit unions.

GFA FCU signed on in 1987 as the first credit union client of the former Connecticut Online. The company was formed in 1967 and has nine board members from client institutions.

Sbrega has been with the $298 million credit union for 30 years. She also is a director of the Massachusetts Share Insurance Corporation and a trustee for Mount Wachusett Community College and Heywood Hospital.
