With more than 76 million baby boomers living in the United States, many of them are quickly approaching retirement. To get them ready, CUNA has created the "Plan It" Web site, which features interactive tools, features for 40-to-60-year-olds and retirement advice. The site, http://finlit.cuna.org/plan_it.html, also has financial calculators, charts, checklists, progress-tracking tools, new short courses and more.Members can use the calculators to develop budgets, see how inflation affects prices and calculate their net worth. The audio section features segments from CUNA's Home and Family Finance radio and covers a multitude of topics. Among the interactive features in "Pre-retiree Lane" are polls to compare with other preretiree viewers on different topics; financial longevity to find out how long their wealth will last them; "Click 'N' Learn," a tutorial with steps on how to become financially organized; and "Meet Your Neighbor," where members can meet the residents of Pre-retiree Lane, and the situations they face on the road to retirement.CUNA said it is planning to add videos on different topics and Social Security calculators where members can input their current financial information to see where they might stand in the future.–[email protected]
