CUNA Strategic Services has struck a deal with Panini North America to make the Italian company its exclusive check scanner alliance provider.
The arrangement makes Panini's scanner solutions available to credit unions that want to provide remote deposit capture to business members, the company and CSS said.
"This alliance model is given significant attention by credit unions and solution providers to this market, so we are thrilled with the new agreement." said Doug Roberts, president of Panini North America in Dayton, Ohio. The company was founded in Turin, Italy.

CSS, a joint venture of CUNA and state credit union leagues, said it saved credit unions $46 million in 2008 with its national pricing programs.
