After 35 years of service to the credit union industry and 23 years as CEO of Prospera Credit Union, Ken Eiden has retired.
Stepping in as interim CEO is Executive Vice President/Chief Operations Officer Sheila Schinke.
"Throughout the organization, including the credit union industry and the community at large, Ken has made an impact with his leadership, guidance and vision," said Patrick Seubert, Prospera CU Board chairman. "We are privileged to have had him serve for 23 years."

Eiden has been credited with leading the Appleton, Wis.-based credit union in its efforts to successfully operate five full-service locations and grow to more than 15,000 members. He was also instrumental in the implementation of GoodMoney, a nationally recognized payday loan alternative, which received the Herb Wegner award in 2007.
Schinke has worked closely with Eiden for more than 20 years and served as chief financial officer for 10 years prior to her promotion to executive vice president.
Prospera CU has over $147 million in assets.
