The annual East Coast Credit Union Marketing Conference slated next month for North Carolina will devote its complete schedule to Gen Y and youth programs.

"Based on the response we had from last year when we had just one breakout session devoted to the topic, the conference planners felt the whole two-day meeting should concentrate on this area," said a spokesman for the North Carolina Credit Union League, one of the prime sponsors.

The annual conference, to be held Sept. 24-25 in Wilmington, traditionally draws attendees from North and South Carolina and Virginia primarily, "but this year we want to make sure marketers and CEOs from the entire East Coast take part," the spokesman said.

Among featured speakers is James Flores, president of SubCat Marketing Group, who will discuss new rules for youth marketing. Also on tap is a presentation on how to appeal to young people in a discussion by an official of Neenah Paper Co. Code Green CEO Jason Green will present "Connect with the Next Generation On Their Own Terms" to conclude the conference.
