Verity Credit Union is once again taking social media in a new direction and calling all moms.

The credit union that launched the first financial institution corporate blog has unveiled Verity Mom, a social media program created to connect and learn from Seattle-area moms. Teaming up with Currency Marketing, the credit union has launched an online competition to find one creative, funny, talented part-time Verity Mom blogger and spokesperson.

Interested Seattle-based moms can visit the microsite veritymom.com and upload a video and blog post by September 13. Site visitors will vote for the finalists and the winner will not only receive a part-time blogging contract worth $20,000 a year but also a laptop computer and Flip Mino HD video camera. The microsite will also include such features as videos, resources and a forum where moms can meet and talk

Viewing the program as part of a multigenerational strategy, the credit union is generating buzz via online videos, branch posters, floor decals, print ads and promotional giveaways.
