Nutmeg State Federal Credit Union, Rocky Hill, Conn., announced that Mike Nowicky was promoted to vice president, operations. He will assume this position following the retirement of the credit union's current vice president of operations, Robert Colegrove. Most recently, Nowicky served as branch manager and loan officer at Nutmeg's newest branch in Glastonbury. He has also served as branch manager for the Manchester branch and has been employed by the credit union since 2005. Prior to joining Nutmeg, Mike worked for various financial institutions as a branch manager.

Tobyhanna Federal Credit Union, Scranton, Pa., announced that Kay Daniel has joined the credit union as business services officer. This new position is the first step in preparing for the offering of business services including commercial deposits, loans, and payroll services. Daniel joins the credit union with more than 10 years of banking experience, including business and commercial services.

St. Anne's Credit Union, Fall River, Mass., has announced the promotions of six employees. Lucy Carvalho has been promoted to training and development manager, responsible for in-house staff orientation, instruction and education. Since joining the credit union in 2001, Carvalho has served in a variety of roles, most recently as branch manager. Elizabeth Carreiro has been promoted from assistant branch manager to manager of the President Avenue office. She joined St. Anne's in 2004. Kathleen Pelletier is now branch manager of the South End office. She joined the credit union in 2006 and was previously assistant branch manager. Grace Taborda, formerly a senior teller at the main office in Fall River, has been promoted to assistant branch manager. She has been with the credit union since 2008. Formerly a senior teller in Dartmouth, Michele Silva has been promoted to assistant branch manager. She joined Saint Anne's in 2005. Sandra Medeiros, who has been with the credit union since 2001, has been promoted to information security officer. In her new position, she will plan and implement computer security measures designed to further safeguard company and member information. Prior to her new assignment, she served as training and development manager.

SOUTH

Georgia Central Credit Union, Duluth, Ga., elected its 2009-2010 board and committee members. They are tasked with leading the organization through its next year of operations. Lin Hodges, CEO of Associated Credit Union, was elected as Georgia Central's chairman after having served as a director since 1993. Hodges also was a member of Georgia Central's supervisory committee last year. Hodges previously served as the corporate's chairman from 1996 through 1999. Other officer appointments to the board were Jay Gratwick, executive vice president and chief financial officer for Delta Community Credit Union, who will serve as vice chairman after serving as treasurer the prior year; Gary Kyle, vice president of finance for Atlanta Postal Credit Union, will serve as treasurer; and Janet Davis, CEO of TIC Federal Credit Union, will serve a second term as secretary. Kyle served previously on the board, but will serve as an officer for the first time this year.

MIDWEST

Hiway Federal Credit Union, St. Paul, Minn., announced that Stephen Bucko has retired from the board of directors. During his 34-year tenure, Bucko served as chairman, vice chairman and secretary. He also directed the credit union's strategic planning committee and worked on the board's nominating committee. Bucko provided directors and the Hiway leadership team with strategic insights on the credit union's services, products and programs and was influential in Hiway's growth over the past three decades. Jerry Holland succeeds Bucko on the board of directors. Holland, a retired business manager for the Minnesota Department of Transportation, was appointed to the board and later elected to a three-year-term.

WEST

Mountain America Credit Union, Salt Lake City, has named Bret Skousen as senior vice president and chief marketing officer. He manages a 10-person marketing department. Skousen graduated from Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Management with an emphasis in marketing/entrepreneurship and began his 16-year career with Black & Decker. Along the way, he received his M.S. degree in executive leadership from the University of San Diego.

VENDOR

CUDL, Ontario, Calif., has announced the election results for its board of directors and new officers. Diana Dykstra, president/CEO, San Francisco Fire Credit Union; Marge McNaught, senior vice president, Premier America Credit Union; Henry Wirz, president/CEO, SAFE Credit Union; and David Reynolds, president/CEO, Security Service Federal Credit Union, were re-elected to new three-year terms. McNaught was also elected as the new chairman of CUDL. McNaught has served on CUDL's Board since 2003 and has served as vice chairman for the last year. Larry Wilson, president/CEO of Coastal Federal Credit Union, was elected the new vice chairman, Terry Halleck, president/CEO of The Golden 1 Credit Union, was elected treasurer, and Reynolds was elected secretary. During CUDL's shareholder's meeting, outgoing chairman, Jim Jordan, was presented with a plaque in recognition and appreciation of his leadership, dedication, and service to the board. Also serving on the board are Joe Brancucci, executive vice president, BECU; Barry Jolette, president/CEO, San Mateo Credit Union; John Lund, executive vice president, America First Credit Union; and Jeff March president/CEO, Citadel Federal Credit Union.
