A credit union awareness event helped spread the word about credit unions in Albany, N.Y.

About 40 credit union representatives across the state and the Credit Union Association of New York's CreditUnionsFORYOU awareness campaign mascot, Marker Man, hit the streets in and around the state Capitol and the legislative office buildings. The team talked up the credit union difference to state and private employees, legislative staffers and pedestrians in the area. The credit union spokesters also manned booths in the Capitol concourse and outside in West Capital Park.

In preparation for the event each volunteer was provided with talking points, a credit union awareness t-shirt to wear for the day and CreditUnionsFORYOU.com markers for giveaways.
