For its benefit programs and high morale marks from employees, credit union-owned CUSO Financial Services LP was recently named one of San Diego's best places to work.
The investment adviser and broker-dealer CUSO was named to the list by the San Diego Business Journal. CFS said it ranked in the top five companies among medium-sized businesses with 50 to 249 employees.
The award rankings are determined through a two-part survey and analysis facilitated by the Best Companies Group, an outsourced firm that provides regional and industry "best places to work" programs in the United States and Canada. The first survey covered company benefits, polices and demographics. The second survey assessed employee satisfaction. Overall satisfaction rating by all CFS company employees was greater than 96%, according to the CUSO.

CFS was recognized for its "mission morale" employee support group and participation in charitable event such as blood donations, cancer support groups and toy drives. The CUSO also pays for tickets for employees who use public transportation to get to work, promotes career development by covering expenses to obtain investment licenses as appropriate, offers onsite yoga classes, discounts to local gyms and has a company-sponsored beach volleyball team.
