BOSTON -- Credit unions "have the optimism and trust of the American people" and that's important during these difficult times, CUNA President/CEO Dan Mica said today.
Mica said because credit unions are outperforming others in the financial service industry they have engendered goodwill on Capitol Hill and other parts of the government.
During remarks at the America's Credit Union Conference and Expo he noted that the most optimistic group of Americans are those between ages 18 and 29 and that should make those in the credit union movement hopeful.
"Our future is bright. America is looking to us. We can stand tall," he said.
