The 353,000 members of Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union can now download a free Web plug-in that the credit union says offers additional protection to online bankers at www.psecu.com.
Trusteer Rapport is a browser plug-in that protects against unauthorized access and theft caused by phishing attacks and malware while at the same time reporting intrusion attempts to fraud experts, according to Tel Aviv-based Trusteer.
The Rapport solution "silently protects personal information entered by users in their Web browser, including user names, passwords and account numbers, from malicious software that may be hiding on the machine and redirection to look-alike Web sites," the company said.
