1st United Services Credit Union recently participated in the Alameda County take your child to work day event. Children of Alameda County employees joined together at the Oakland Law Library for some timely financial literacy lessons from 1st USCU Business Development Manager Tony Fernandes. Children learned tips on how to prepare for the many financial milestones that will occur throughout their lives. "1st USCU is dedicated to encouraging healthy money habits. That's why we were more than happy to speak to the children at take your child to work day." said Fernandes. Discussion topics ranged from wants versus needs and setting goals, to how to budget for credit cards. The children also had a chance to participate and win various prizes.
