Credit unions in Texas border towns were going to extra lengths Thursday with distribution of hand sanitizers, disinfectant wipes and cans of Lysol to even take home to protect employees against coming down with the swine flu.
One CEO said she avoided shaking hands with a vendor and cleaned his chair after he left the premises "and we're even wiping off the pens after members use them and we're cleaning door knobs, too."
"Our supply of surgical masks comes in tomorrow and we will have them available for any one who wants one," said Maria Martinez, president/CEO of Border FCU in Del Rio which called off a Youth Fair Saturday because of the flu scare.
