South Carolina credit unions, led by the $128 million Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union, showed the way this week in coming to the aid of displaced families from wildfires that destroyed 70 homes and damaged 80 more a week ago in North Myrtle Beach.

“Carolina Trust is proud to be among the businesses and local residents who are showing their support for the families,” said Jerry Miller, president/CEO of Carolina Trust which helped organize an all-day fund raiser on Tuesday at a Myrtle Beach mall bringing in $120,000.
