A Canadian credit union has become the 101st user of Open Solutions Inc. latest core processing system.QuintEssential Credit Union in Belleville, Ontario, has chosen to operate on The Complete Credit Union Solution: DNA. The $78 million institution serves 8,350 members through two branches in the Bay of Quinte area on Lake Ontario."Our goal is to become the leading provider of financial services to individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises in our market," said Ron Harrison, QuintEssential CEO. He said a switch from the legacy platform it was running was necessitated by the need to support the credit union's plans in terms of financial growth, staff, branding and technology."Frontline staff liked the wizards and online help; the smooth flow from one screen to another; and the fact that they could scan an ID when setting up an account," Harrison said. The credit union also will implement Open Solutions' Financial Accounting Suite and asset-liability management products, as well as the integrated voice response solution.–[email protected]
