ARLINGTON, VA– Heartland Payment Systems might not have released the number of institutions impacted by the breach of its card data security but, so far, at least 124 (32 of them credit unions) have reported credit or debit cards compromised in the breech, according to an industry Web site.

Bankinfosecurity.com has compiled a list of the institutions, which now include banks and credit unions from Bermuda, Canada and Guam, which have publicly reported some of the credit cards and data cards compromised in the breach.

The Web site included the Association of Vermont Credit Unions, Government Employees Credit Union headquartered in El Paso, Texas, State Employees' Credit Union headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina and Washington State Employees Credit Union headquartered in Olympia, Washington.
