WASHINGTON – Credit unions that want to learn about the impact of NCUA's rescue plan for corporate credit unions can participate in one of two Webcasts on Wednesday from 2:00-3:30 ET.
CUNA is hosting a Webinar featuring CUNA President/CEO Dan Mica and other top officials of the association as well as Owen Cole and Larry Fazio of NCUA. There will be a summary of the plan and its impact on credit unions. CUNA officials will also discuss what they see as possible alternatives that might have less financial impact on credit unions.

NAFCU is sponsoring a Webcast called National Credit Union Administration's (NCUA)'s Corporate Stabilization Plan-What It Means for Your Credit Union," will feature NCUA Executive Director David M. Marquis and NCUA Acting Director, Office of Examination and Insurance John E. Kutchey.
Marquis and Kutchey will discuss: Details of the program; Cost to credit unions; Appropriate accounting treatment for the premium assessment; Any write-downs that will occur; Individual questions during the Q&A; and Alternatives to the plan that NCUA may or may not consider.
