GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — In its first appearance as a vendor at the Indiana Credit Union League's annual convention in Indianapolis, Member First Mortgage LLC, has received the best of show award.

The award was given to the vendor who best represented the convention's theme–"rally 'round credit unions"–at their booth.

Member First Mortgage was selected by the convention committee out of almost 60 vendors.

ICUL's convention is a statewide event that attracts decision-makers from some of the state's most progressive credit unions.

Member First Mortgage LLC, is a credit union service organization headquartered in Grand Rapids, Mich. It is owned by 11 credit unions in the state. The organization, founded in September 2001, is provides a full range of mortgage services to credit union members as well as to the general public.

FCUL to Deal With Survival Strategies

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Credit Union League will be holding a roundtable this month aimed at helping credit unions develop strategies to cope with the economy and the mortgage calamity.

The "economic crisis roundtable: what you can do to help your members" will be held on Nov. 13 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport.

Speakers include Mike Schenk, CUNA vice president of economics and statistics; Greg Wirthmann of Southeast Corporate FCU; Marcia Sarrazin of NCUA Region 3; and Robert Hayes and Linda Charity from the Florida Office of Financial Regulation.

The speakers will provide information useful to both credit unions and their members.

Credit union CEOs, chief financial officers and lending officers are invited to attend the day-long event.

The cost of the seminar is $99.
