WASHINGTON — You are a 24-year congressional veteran who is facing the fight of your political life in a Democratic district in a Democratic year. It's the day before the election and you need a last-minute push.
Who are you going to call?

Tonight, Clinton is scheduled to close out the campaign with an appearance on behalf of Rep. Paul Kanjorski (D-Pa.), one of the strongest supporters of the credit union movement in Congress. Clinton and Kanjorski are scheduled to appear at an election eve rally at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre.
Kanjorski is facing a strong challenge from Hazleton Mayor Lou Barletta, whose strong opposition to illegal immigration has made him a hero to conservatives.
On Sunday, Caroline Kennedy campaigned with Kanjorski.
Recent polls show Kanjorski trailing Barletta but the gap between the two has narrowed.
