MANCHESTER, N.H. — Some of the industry's top brass led by Dan Mica, president/CEO of CUNA, and Fred Becker, president/CEO of NAFCU, will be on hand here Thursday at America's Credit Union Museum for a private reception and premiere showing of a video marking kickoff activities for next year's 100th anniversary CU celebration.

“The new video, 'Credit Unions: 100 Hundred Years of Building Financial Futures,' produced by Bruce Bennett of Madison, who has done Herb Wegner award winners, should be ready for purchase next month by credit unions everywhere as part of the 2009 festivities,” said Peggy Powell, executive director of the museum.

Powell noted that the video “not only tells the story of the credit union movement's first 100 years, but it also provides information about why various organizations were founded through the years.” More than 20 credit union leaders appear on the video.

In addition to Mica and Becker, other CU leaders invited to the Manchester screening include: Pete Crear, president/CEO of the World Council of Credit Unions; Francis Lee, president/CEO of U.S. Central Credit Union; and Arty Arteaga, president/CEO of the Defense Credit Union Council.
