New Drive-Thru Tech Protects Privacy

WEXFORD, Pa. — Clearview Federal Credit Union has opened its eighth branch since becoming a community credit union in 2004.

Another branch is slated to open by the end of this year and several more are planned for 2009.

The 10,000-square-foot branch will include four teller windows and two remote, drive-up windows. The state-of-the-art, drive-up windows feature the latest in remote, drive-up banking technology. While the drive-up windows actually sit behind the building at a freestanding site, they have video screens and two-way cameras that allow members to speak directly with tellers inside the credit union.

The move is designed to provide more security than traditional drive-ups since the tellers can wear a headset to keep conversations with members private.

The new branch will also have an online banking station, a 24-hour drive-up ATM and a business night deposit drop.

Clearview President/CEO Mark Brennan said he is excited by the opportunities the North Hills area has to offer.

"This is our first branch in the North Hills, and we feel that Wexford was the ideal location for it. We're excited by the opportunity to grow our membership base here.

We're looking forward to sharing our credit union service with North Hills residents," said Brennan.
