WASHINGTON — Chief Counsel for Advocacy Thomas M. Sullivan today announced that he will step down as head of the Office of Advocacy of the Small Business Administration.

Sullivan, whose last day at the agency is Oct. 24, said he plans to work in the private sector.

Of note to credit unions, Sullivan's office worked with the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs to filter out more than $65 billion in new regulatory costs by monitoring federal agency compliance with the Regulatory Flexibility Act.
