BURLINGTON, Mass. — Twenty-three credit unions are now offering the DeposZip remote-deposit capture service from Eastern Corporate Federal Credit Union.
The newest customers are $717 million Metro CU of Chelsea, Mass., and $385 million Air Academy FCU in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The DeposZip service allows preapproved members to use custom-designed screens with the same look and feel as their online banking site to deposit checks the members scanned at home or office.
EasCorp said there now are 17,400 registered users of its service, which it says was the first commercial service of its kind in the industry, and that nearly $33.5 million in checks have been processed.
